Acquaintance

Wise trees, I long to hear your ancient voice I envy your view
I mourn your death commiserating with your grand-children's grandchildren
their ancestors bow in fields and rise in thickets
Touching clouds holding deep to earth teach me this grace with which you sway
I saw a stranger standing among the yards of bamboo
We were rejoicing your wisdom, praising your grace
God has left his message in you
We watched each other's distance with gleam and esteem
your confidence initiates our awakening
Reluctant confidence invades his conscious as
He wandered nearer to your source and my position
A soul for spirits of congruent visions
I let him learn my purpose allowing precious essence to spill with each dew drop
Acknowledging the affair of stars which crossed the lovers
while we danced upon your canopy, how i admire thee
And the life which now tumbles and roars in my womb spreading your embrace
I found all i need hidden the nest of you, Grace.
